Garland "Curt" Curtis Parsley, 74, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Nancy Dugan Parsley entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 25, 2023. His funeral service will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment following will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC.
Curt was born July 8, 1948, in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, son of the late Durward Curtis Parsley and the late Mildred Currin Parsley.
Following graduation from High School, He enlisted in the United States Navy and later became a police officer for Charleston County, SC. He retired early from the police force and trained at the FBI Academy, graduating as a Special Agent, for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). He retired with over twenty years of work with the organization. Following retirement, Curt trained and was certified as a Polygrapher, for Pacific West National Laboratory, branched out of New Mexico. Retiring in 2013 and returning home to Charleston. A Place he loved and has many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Tiffany Parsley (Avery Olson) their children Ian, Isaiah, Isleigh, and Iliana of Summerville, SC; Erika Parsley (Alex Giraldo) with their child, Elijah of Charleston, SC; brother, Durwood Parsley (Rory) and their children, Lauren (Kevin) and family of Charleston, SC; Curtis (Amanda) and family, sister, Ellen Parsley Oblow of the Isle of Palms, SC.
