Gale Marie Mims

Gale Marie Mims, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday in the Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Gale was born August 31, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Alexander Mims, Jr. and Loris Martschink Mims. She was a retired Switchboard Operator for the Post and Courier and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Gale is survived by her sister, Joy Loris Mims (Robert Bolus) of Charleston, SC; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Mims; three nephews: James Alexander Mims IV, Blake Tucker Mims and Christian William Mims. She was predeceased by a brother, James Alexander Mims III.
