With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Gage Edward Barnhill, 29, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, who departed this life on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Gage’s vibrant spirit and infectious smile brought light and joy to all who knew him. Though his journey was marked by challenges, including the aftermath of a life-altering car accident, Gage’s unwavering resilience and love for life continued to shine through, inspiring everyone around him.
Born on March 11, 1994, in Melbourne, Florida, Gage was the treasured son of William Edward Barnhill and Shannon Marie Cartonla Boles (Jeffrey). Gage’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted father to his beloved daughters, Presley and Palmer Barnhill. His children were the center of his world, and his love for them knew no bounds.
Gage shared a special bond with his siblings, Cole Barnhill of Orlando, FL, and Jett Barnhill of Tallahassee, FL. Together, they created countless cherished memories filled with laughter and love. Gage’s warm heart and infectious sense of humor endeared him to all who crossed his path. His quick wit and playful banter could light up any room, bringing smiles to the faces of friends and family alike.
Throughout his life, Gage found joy in the simple pleasures, especially in the kitchen where he showcased his culinary talents. He was known for his delicious meals and enjoyed nothing more than sharing his creations with loved ones. Gage also had a deep passion for Florida State, proudly cheering on his favorite team with unwavering enthusiasm.
A celebration of Gage’s life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel, located at
1494 Mathis Ferry Road, starting at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation starting at 11:00 am.
