Gaetano Iaquez, 85, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Jean Iaquez, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 18, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, at 12:00 pm. There will be a viewing for family and friends starting at 11am. Entombment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. 

Gaetano was born October 28, 1938 in Scoglitti, Sicily in Italy. Gaetano was the son of the late Giovanni Diego Iaquez and Antonietta Zucchero Iaquez. Gaetano was a diligent person professionally and personally and did everything with a generous heart and authentic nature.

He is survived by three daughters, Antoinette Samuelson of New Windsor, NY, Gina Iaquez-Johnson of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Lisa Iaquez of Fort Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Julia Samuelson, Peter Samuelson; great-grandson, Jaxon Pritt. He is also survived by two sons-in-law, Kevin Johnson and Paul Samuelson.
