G. Nick Angelos, 85, of Hollywood, South Carolina, husband of Beverly Jeanne Lindquist Angelos, passed away peacefully at home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with his wife of 42 years by his side, Monday, January 29, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.  

Nick was born March 10, 1938 in Walterboro, South Carolina, son of the late Nicholas George Angelos and Louise Bennett Courtney Angelos. Nick grew up in Charleston and graduated from St. Andrews High School. He attended Clemson University, where he was in the reserves. He worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard in submarines. He was in business for himself after that. His father was a shrimper and he grew up on the boat and had a real love of the ocean.

 He was a charter boat captain and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to pursue his love of the ocean. There he met the love of his life, his wife Beverly, on a Sunday service class at First Baptist Church. They were married in 1981 and moved back to Charleston in 1996. He has one step daughter, Deborah Vellico.

He is survived by his sister, Kiki Angelos Diasourakis of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, John Furlow; nieces, Frona Bruggemann, Naki Godfrey, and Nickole (David) Samios; and many great nieces, nephews, and their children. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Butler; Brother-in-law, Ron Butler; niece, Louisa. 

Memorials may be made to Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Rd, Charleston, SC 29407, Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity Building Fund, 30 Race St, Charleston, SC 29403, or to Samaritan's Purse International Disaster Relief, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
