Frederick Millard Morris, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Marilyn Morris, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 4, 2021. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Chapel beginning at 1:00 pm.
Fred was born September 27, 1933 in Turbeville, South Carolina, son of the late Lucius Workman Morris and Myrtle Moore Morris. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict, and was a faithful member of the Charlestowne Southern Methodist Church. Fred retired from AT&T after 38 years as a computer technician. He also taught a Sunday School class for teenagers, and was a British sports car enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his sons, Ricky Morris (Marla) and Kevin Morris (Melody) both of Charleston, SC; daughter, Phyllis Morris Crouse (Jody) of Summerville, SC; Bridget Bessinger (Chuck) of Charleston, SC; Patricia Westbury (James) of Lexington, SC; sister, Jho Helen McCraw of Lexington, SC; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
