Frederick Russell Lewis, 91, husband of the late Essie Deniston Lewis of Mt. Pleasant, SC, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday March 6, 2011. The relatives and friends of Fred Lewis are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Park, Broomall, PA on Friday, March 11, 2011. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mr. Lewis was born on July 11, 1919 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, son of the late Jesse Eugene Lewis and Ethel Leech Lewis. He served in the United States Army and was a Dairy Farmer. He retired from Smith-Kline Animal Health as a technician. His life was dedicated to serving Jesus Christ and the needs of other people. Mr. Lewis served as a Deacon in his church and volunteered with The American Red Cross, Sandpiper Nursing Home, and Hospice. He is survived by his three daughters, Phyllis Evans and her husband, Ken, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Patricia Griffith and her husband, Allen, of Myerstown, PA and Pamela Snyder and her husband, Paul, of West Chester, PA; ten grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and one sister, Helen Edmondston of Hollywood, FL. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Biblical Family Ministries, 335 West Main Avenue, Myerstown, PA 17067.
