Frederick Alvin Herrmann

November 24, 1920 — December 12, 2010

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 12, 2010, Frederick Alvin Herrmann,  widower of Alicemarie Collins Herrmann.  Residence, Johns Island, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Frederick Herrmann are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Church of The Nativity Catholic Church, at 9:30 am where the family will receive friends beginning at 9 am.  The Prayers of Final Commendations and Farewell will be held at 3:45 pm in Greenville Memorial Gardens, Greenville, SC.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. 


Mr. Herrmann was born November 24, 1920 in Jamaica, New York, son of the late Leo and Marie Linhardt Herrmann.  Mr. Herrmann was a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, a retired Field Service Manager with Bigelow-Sanford Inc., was a member of Church of the Nativity and a former member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Simpsonville, SC.


He is survived by two daughters; Louise Wasekanes and husband Robert Wasekanes of Mechanicsburg, PA, Eileen Easler and husband Michael Easler of Johns Island; four sons, James Herrmann and wife Karen Herrmann of Cary, NC, Paul Herrmann and wife Jacqueline Herrmann of Neptune, NJ, Thomas Herrmann and wife Rebecca Herrmann of Lexington, SC, and David Herrmann and wife Sonja Herrmann of Tucker, GA; a sister, Anne Tibbetts of Fairfax, VA; a brother, Leo Herrmann and wife Barbara Herrmann of Beverly, NJ; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
