Frederick James Geer
Frederick James Geer, 94, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 5, 2024. The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2024 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be private in Live Oak Memorial Garden.
Fred was born March 11, 1930 in Cherokee County, Georgia, son of the late Frederick Silas Geer and Jessie Mae Hendrix Geer. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving in both Korea and Vietnam. Post military, Fred was the owner/operator of Geer's Barber Shop on James Island.
Fred is survived by his children: Jamie Geer, Bobbie Morelock, Fred Geer (Sherill) and Stanley Geer. He was predeceased by Gracie Usher Geer and Mildred Earle Geer.
Memorials may be made to the Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
