Fred T. Chatham, 61, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Friday, July 31, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel, reception to follow at 1150 Wexford Park, Mount Pleasant. There will also be a memorial service Sunday, August 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church Chapel, 63 Maple Avenue, Marietta, GA. Reception to follow in the Garden Room.

Fred was born September 29, 1953 in Macon, GA, son of the late James Robert Chatham and the late Leora Lockhart Chatham.

Fred was an avid baseball fan and loved the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. While his sons were growing up he was a Scout Leader for their scout troop. During his early retirement he worked for the National Park Service in the Grand Canyon and Death Valley National Parks. Fred worked at the Hermit's Rest Welcome Center tending the Stone Fireplace and regaling visitors with stories. The last few years he enjoyed playing Canasta at the Mount Pleasant Senior Center and spending time with his sons.

He is survived by his sons, Erich Chatham (Karen) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Curtis Chatham of Los Angeles, CA; and his former wife, Maureen Chatham.
