Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, November 15, 2011, Petty Officer First Class Frank Edward Whipple, II, US Navy (Ret.), husband of Kum Yim KimWhipple. Residence, Columbia, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edward Whipple, II are invited to attend his funeral services, Friday morning, November 18, 2011 at International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road, at 11 am. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Born on February 19, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida, Frank was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edward Whipple, I. He was a retired Navy veteran and attended Northeast United Methodist Church. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, and the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife Kum Yim Whipple of Columbia; a son, Frank E. Whipple, III of Charleston; two brothers, Harold Whipple of Phoenix, Arizona and David Whipple of Alabama.
