Msgt. Frank B. Schulken (USAF, Ret.), 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mariann D. Schulken entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 11, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 1285 Ashley Hall Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Frank was born November 11, 1943 in Mullins, South Carolina, son of the late Frank B. Schulken and Shirley Graham Schulken. He enjoyed his family, was a talented artist, and expert in computers. He served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Gallantry Cross, Vietnam Campaign medal, as well as the Air Force Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal and later retired as a Master Sergeant from the USAF. He is survived by his wife, Mariann Schulken; 4 daughters, Dara Reardon (Douglas) of Charleston, SC, Barbara Hyman (Victor) of Chesapeake, VA , Christina Schulken and Brandy Schulken, both of Charleston, SC; 4 sons, Brian K. Schulken of Charleston, SC, Graham S. Schulken (Toni) of Charlotte, NC, Donald Richter (Natalia) of Charleston, SC, and Daniel Jordan (Ranie) of Baraboo, WI; brother, Daniel Schulken (Marty); 2 sisters, Katherine Oakley of James Island, SC, and Mary Louise Milligan of Mt. Pleasant, SC; 28 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
