Frank V. Salvo

April 22, 1914 — January 30, 2011

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 30, 2011, Frank V. Salvo, husband of Jean Smith Salvo.  Residence, Mount Pleasant, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Frank V. Salvo are invited to attend the funeral mass of the former in The Cathedral Church of St. Luke & St. Paul Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.  Interment, Riverview Memorial Park.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Monday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.


Frank was born April 22, 1914 in Givhans, SC, a son of the late Elmon Christopher Salvo and the late Margaret Player Salvo.  He was a retired sub-station superintendent for South Carolina Electric & Gas and served in the South Carolina National Guard.  He was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Charleston Elks Lodge #242, Franklin Lodge #96 A.F.M., Scottish Rite Temple, Omar Shrine Temple and was the oldest living member of the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. 


He is survived by his wife of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Linda S. Utsey and husband, Bobby, of Mount Pleasant; a granddaughter, Lynn Utsey Garvin and husband, Kenny, of Charleston; and three great-grandchildren, Kenneth Hutto Garvin, Johnathan Salvo Garvin and Hayes Utsey Garvin.
