Francoise M. Duffy

Francoise Mompied Duffy, 61, wife of Peter Matthew Duffy of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010.  The relatives and friends of Francoise Duffy are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Duffy was born on July 16, 1949 in Paris, France.  She was the daughter of Edmund Mompied and Jean Laudinet Mompied.  She was a retired restaurant owner. She is survived by her husband, Peter M. Duffy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one son, James P. Duffy of Clemson, SC; two brothers, Jaques Mompied of Paris, France and Daniel Mompied of Normandy, France.  She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Duffy and a brother, Michael Mompied.
