Francis Marion Harvey

Francis Marion Harvey, 83, husband of the late Madge Boykin Harvey of Greenwood, SC, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011.   The relatives and friends of Francis Harvey are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside at Greenwood Memorial Gardens on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, SC, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL and HARLEY FUNERAL HOME of GREENWOOD, SC.  Mr. Harvey was born on September 9, 1927, in Greenwood, SC, son of the late Hayden T. Harvey and Annie Fortner Harvey.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.  He was a machinist with the U.S. Naval Welfare Center.  Mr. Harvey's favorite pastimes were riding his scooter and he also loved telling jokes.  Mr. Harvey is survived by his niece, Deborah Robinson of Greenwood, SC; his three cousins, Carolyn Massey, Emily White and Patsy Still of Greenwood, SC and his caregiver for 11 years, Virginia Pinckney of Awendaw, SC.  He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Harold T. Harvey and Eldridge O. Harvey.
