Frances Elizabeth Wakat

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of December 8, 2011. Frances Elizabeth Wakat, widow of Marshall Wakat, Sr. Residence, Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Vandalia, OH Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Frances was born April 28, 1916 in Rocky Mount, NC, the daughter of Charles Andrew Ricks and Jannet Bennet Ricks. She was a founding member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Dayton, OH and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Roanoke, VA.
She is survived by her son Dr. Marshall Wakat, Jr. and his wife Dr. Phyllis Wakat of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren: Marshall Wakat, III (Gus) and his wife Kristin of Denver, CO, and Marty Allen Wakat of Kailua-Kona, HI; two great-grandchildren: Marshall Wakat, IV and Levon David Wakat; niece, Barbara Fegan of Adamstown, MD.
Memorials may be made to the Sauer Tarzinski Education Fund, Northridge Local Schools, 2011 Timber Lane, Dayton, OH 45414.
