Frances was born July 28, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Charles Casimir Siegling and Mary Boyd White Siegling. She was a member of St. John's Parish Church and the Society of the Preservation of Lowcountry Spirituals.
Frances dedicated much of her life for her passion to help others. Early on in her career she began volunteering her time at the Bergen County Department of Health Services initially assisting in the Parenting Program in Bergen County, NJ. She was so successful that she was asked to run her group of parents seeking support, education and information. Frances had found her niche and went on to pursue another one of her passions, Addiction and Recovery. Frances worked for many years at Daytop Village, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in New York City, as a Drug & Alcohol Counselor, counseling numerous clients with quite a success rate. Her focus was working with the white collar professional, guiding and supporting them in their efforts to get and remain sober. Frances was also very instrumental in spearheading the creation of the first Narcotics Anonymous Program in Bergen County, NJ. Frances had many causes and interests but none as passionate as reaching out to those suffering and less fortunate.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years; son, S. Lee Siegling (Mary) of Toms River, NJ; son, Charles Casimir Siegling, II of Wadmalaw Island, SC; daughter, Frances Siegling Price (David) of Mahwah, NJ; son, Joseph Haskell Siegling (Michelle) of Chapel Hill, NC; daughter, Anne Siegling Kopp (Steve) of Haddonfield, NJ; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Anne Siegling Thomas, Mary Boyd Siegling Hart both of Charleston, SC and Kate Siegling Davis (Marion) of Columbia, SC.
