Frances "Susie" Pell, 89, widow of Robert A. Pell, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in Covenant Hall. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Frances was born January 28, 1929 in Easton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jacob Franklin Weiss and Florence Mae Weiss. She was a graduate of Churchman Business School and was employed by Ingersol Rand, American Cyanamid, and RCA. She was an active supporter of her children's activities, serving as a Cub Scout den mother, PTA secretary, and Girl Scout Cookie Sales Chairwoman. A talented quilter and embroiderer, Frances belonged to The Cobblestone Quilters and the Island Quilt Guild. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as a circle leader and treasurer of Hooks and Needles.
She is survived by her four children, daughters Sandra Pell and Deborah Pell both of Charleston, sons Ronald Pell (Julie) of Summerville and Robert Pell (Julie) of Columbia and her grandchildren and great-grandchild: Kaitlin, Austin (Taylor), Kathryn, Caroline, Jackson and Kendrick. She is also survived by her brother Russell Weiss of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ptak.
