Frances Jones Murray

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 26, 2010, Frances Jones Murray of Charleston, widow of Hubert Austin Murray, Jr.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at Pinecrest Baptist Church, Thursday, October 28, 2010, at one o'clock.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Mrs. Murray was born on December 10, 1921 in Bamburg, SC, daughter of the late Carl Burton Jones, Sr. and the late Helyn Plowden Jones Whitley. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and attended North Greenville College. Mrs. Murray was retired from the Naval Supply Center and member of Pinecrest Baptist Church where she also was a member of Rejoices. 

Surviving are her daughter, Sandy Thompson Siegling and her husband Jack of Goose Creek; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Thompson of Washington, DC; sister, Jeanette Streets and her husband Henry of James Island; sister-in-law, Nan Jones of Aiken, SC; three granddaughters, Camille Siegling Bowdoin and her husband Frank of North Charleston, Francisca Thompson and Raven Thompson both of Austin, TX; and also four close and very dears friends, Millie Wiggins, Betty Rollings, Betty Rhodes and Evelyn Postell. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by a son, Harry Austin Thompson, Jr. and two brothers, Carl B. Jones, Jr. and Charles H. Jones.
