Frances K. Jones, 88, of Charleston, SC, died Sunday, January 24, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 am to the hour of service.

Frances was born August 4, 1927 in Montmorenci, SC, one of six children of the late Willie R. Kaney, Sr. and the late Estelle Redd Kaney. She was a former employee of United Piece Dye. She was a member of Holmes Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Ann Clark (Ernest) of Moncks Corner, SC; two sons, Jeffrey B. Jones (Marsha) of Summerville, SC and Glenn P. Jones of Ladson, SC; six grandchildren: Sonya Cordray (Danny), Scott Clark, Ben Hindman, Mary Frances Jones, Courtney Lynn Jones, Chelsea Elizabeth Taylor; great-grandchild, Kanney Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Pressley Jones; four brothers: Marion Kaney, James Kaney, Johnny Kaney, Willie Kaney; and one sister, Shirley A. Kaney.
