Frances "Sue" Songe Jackson, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 29, 2019. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Sue was born February 20, 1937 in Morgan City, Louisiana, daughter of the late Percy Anthony Songe and Celia Cook Songe. She was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired United Postal Service Mail Carrier. Sue was active in the Women's Republican Party and Parents Without Partners. Sue was a member of First Baptist of Charleston.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amy A. Weesner of Charleston, SC, Tammy Weesner-Buteau (Barry) of Ridgeville, SC; two sons, Kelly A. Weesner (Elizabeth) of Charleston, SC, Kerry A. Weesner (Wendy) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Brandon Weesner.
