A celebration of her life will be held at St. Andrew's Church - Mount Pleasant in the Historic Church, 440 Whilden Street on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
Frances was born September 14, 1939 in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Newman Donald Buck and the late Helen Maultsby Buck. She moved to Mt. Pleasant with her family in 1946. She graduated from Moultrie High School and earned a two year degree at Palmer College.
Frances was a member of St. Andrew's Church and served in teaching and several other ministries over the years. She especially enjoyed the EYC Ministry and the young people that were always so important to her.
Frances always had a strong love for all the children that entered her life. Her love and patience made her a great kindergarten teacher and she enjoyed that role for seven years at East Cooper School.
Frances and Ebbie were the cool young parents when they moved into the Old Village in 1968. Her kitchen soon became the place to go for advice, friendship and good food. She was a second Mom to a very large family of neighborhood kids. Fish fries, oyster roasts, bar-b-ques and afternoon swims in the pool quickly became the norm in what used to be the quiet part of town.
Frances loved to travel. She loved the mountains of North Carolina. She had a great time in Australia, but she really enjoyed the more quiet pristine retreats of the Lowcountry. The many boats they owned over the years took Ebbie and her to so many beautiful destinations whether it was a weekend at Prices Inlet, a trip to Chesapeake Bay or a couple of months in the Bahamas, she was always ready to go. Finding a way to put some joy or laughter into every moment was what made her special to so many people. She always shined brightest when she was loving on her family and friends. Frances, Mom and Meme were the names that dated the generations that loved her so much. A caring friend, a loving wife, mother and a truly awesome grandmother, she was something special to all of us.
Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ebbie; two children, Edmund Wyman Frampton, Jr (Robyn) and Mary Louise Frampton Morrison (Michael); four grandchildren, Eliza Lucas Daunt Morrison Apple (Ben), Hanna McLane Frampton Pratt (Ian), Michael Horry Morrison and Lillian Gregorie Frampton; and one great grandchild, Emma Louise Apple. She was preceded in death by her brother, Newman Donald Buck, Jr.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Franke Home at Seaside. Thank you for all the love you showed our Mom.
