With hearts full of love, gratitude, and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Mrs. Frances Meagher Enfinger, age 92, of Walterboro. She entered into eternal rest peacefully, August 24th, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born June 28, 1934, in Charleston, S.C., daughter of the late John Francis Meagher, Sr. and Mamie Patrick Meagher.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Ernest L. Enfinger, Sr.; three infant sons, Curtis Alan and twins John and David; and her sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Sonny Vose.

The memory of her kind and gentle spirit lives on and will be cherished by her daughter, Julia E. Bell and son-in-law, Ricky; son Ernest Enfinger, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Betty; her grandchildren, Mary Frances Lucas and husband, Michael, Thomas Elliot, Christopher Shane Enfinger, and Terrence Anthony Enfinger; a great-grandson, Justice Warren Enfinger; her brother, John Francis Meagher, Jr. and sister-in-law, Dianne; a sister-in-law, Ruth Eunice Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frances was a retired bookkeeper who enjoyed puzzles, writing poetry, bird watching, traveling, and painting. She was a voracious reader, an amazing cook, and a formidable opponent on Sunday afternoons at family game time. She was strong of heart and conviction, with a gentle and nurturing spirit. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A graveside service will be held at White Church Cemetery, Ravenel, S.C., Monday, August 31st, at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
