Frances Orvin Chandler, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of William Clayton Chandler, entered into eternal rest Monday, December 10, 2012. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Frances was born September 4, 1930 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Luther Daniel Orvin and Anna Lee Driggers Orvin. She was a member of Charleston Baptist Church. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother to her children and extended family. Her courageous battle with Alzheimer's over many years has been a huge influence to all who have known her.She is survived by her husband of 64 1/2 years; daughter, Kathleen Lee Chandler Ogier (Jim) of Charelston, SC; two sons: William Clayton Chandler, Jr.(Anne) of Charleston, SC, Louis Rodney Chandler (Marty) of Mt. Olive, NC; grandchildren: Charles Brant Young, Tanna Renee Riggins, Phillip John Chandler (Sarah), Heather Judith Glover (Matthew), David Alan Chandler, Louis W. J. Chandler (Rose), Richard Chandler (Elise); great-grandchildren: Calvin Ervin Riggins, III, Jeffery Dale Riggins and Lorelei Grace Chandler; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her brothers: Arthur Lee Orvin, Carl Orvin, Luther Orvin and her sisters: Valerie O. Kidd, Dorothy O. Bates, Alma O. Davenport, Inez O. Schaffer and Beatrice O. Waltz.
