Frances Bland, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 surrounded by her husband William. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

Born November 9, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to Frank Sasso and Mary Amoroso, Frances lived a life rooted in love and dedication to those closest to her. As a wife, she was a steadfast partner and source of strength. As a mother of four, she gave her heart fully to raising her children, guiding them with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother to her four beloved grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life.

She will be remembered for her warm spirit, gentle kindness, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. Frances had a special gift for nurturing others, always offering comfort, encouragement, and a listening ear. Her presence was a blessing to her family and all who knew her.

Frances is survived by her loving husband of 56 years William; her children, Teddy Bland (Lisa), David Bland (Christie), Jeffrey Bland, and Tara Bland; and her four grandchildren Nicholas, Thomas, Natalie and Avery. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will continue to honor her memory.

A private celebration of life will be held on March 26, at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, located at 232 Calhoun St. Charleston SC 29401 where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. Flowers arrangements can be sent to the Funeral home.
