Floyd Van Madray, Sr., 84, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Betty Lominac Madray, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 30, 2014. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Floyd was born February 8, 1930 in North Charleston, South Carolina, the son of the late Charlie Jhue Madray, and the late Mamie Whetsell Madray. He retired from Raybestos- Manhattan.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lominac Madray of North Charleston, SC; sons, Floyd Van Madray Jr and his wife, Katie, of Greenville, NC, and Joel Wayne Madray of North Charleston; daughter-in-law, Collette Madray; sister, Frances Turner and her husband, Ross; brother-in-law, Bob McDaniel; five grandchildren: Daniel, Katharine, Laura, Nicholas and Leesa; ten great- grandchildren: Logan, Brian, Kaylynn, Hailey, Emma, Christian, Autumn, Melody, Alexis and Drew. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Andrew Madray; sister, Sue McDaniel, and brother, Robert Madray and his wife, Lousie.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
