Floyd Edward Hiott

November 30, 1917 — April 10, 2014

Floyd Edward Hiott, 96, of Awendaw, South Carolina, widower of Katherine Rantin Hiott entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 10, 2014. His Graveside Service will be held Monday, April 14, 2014, at 1:00 pm in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 13, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Floyd was born November 30, 1917 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Melvin Hiott and Flossie Beach Hiott. He was retired from the Commissioners of Public Works and owner/operator of a retail Package Store. Floyd was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Wahalla Lodge #66 AFM and member of The Church of the Good Shepherd.

He is survived by his two grandsons, Mark Hiott and Michael Hiott all of Awendaw, SC, one great-granddaughter, Camryn F. Hiott and one great-grandson, Myles E. Hiott; one daughter-in-law Anna Thigpen Hiott of Awendaw, SC. The family would like to thank Floyd's caregiver's Mildred, Kim and Sylvia. Floyd is preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers and his son Floyd Hiott, Jr.
