Floride Ackerman McManus, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her residence.

The funeral service will be on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Halfway Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mrs. McManus was born on February 9, 1919, daughter of the late Graham Ackerman and Rutherford Shuler Ackerman. She was a homemaker. She loved playing cards, going to garage sales and spending time with her family. She was the best Mom in the world.

Mrs. McManus is survived by five children, Juanita Boyd and her husband, Bill of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Mack McManus, Jr. and his wife, Clara of Mastic, NY, Sammy McManus of Murphy, NC, Arthur McManus and Fran, of St. Mary's, GA and Joan Ermer and her husband, Robert of Mt. Pleasant, SC ; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.
