Florence Edge Haymond

Florence Edge Haymond, 99, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Lee Roy Haymond died Saturday, September 27, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 4990 Dorchester Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Florence was born July 11, 1915 in Hand Community, Horry County, SC, daughter of the late Francis Withers Harriett Edge and the late A. Rebecca Rogers Edge. She was a retired Civil Service Clerk and a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Broyles (Paul) of North Charleston, SC; step-son, Lee Roy Haymond (Jessie) of Centenary, SC; grandchildren: Rebecca Riddle (Jim), Paul L. Broyles (Debbi), Susan Broyles-Krohn (Rudy), Sandie Broyles (Phil), Michael Broyles (Jennifer) all of North Charleston, SC, Ashley Haymond of Maryland and J. Bryan Haymond of TN; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph D. Haymond (Vickie) and step-son, Robert Haymond (Jackie).
