Ferman Marion Crapps

October 31, 1925 — February 13, 2014

Ferman Marion Crapps, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Annie Laura Boone Crapps, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 13, 2014. His funeral service will be held at the graveside Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mr. Crapps was born October 31, 1925 in Springfield, Georgia, son of Chalmers M. Crapps and Annie Mabel Freyermuth Crapps. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the United Stated Navy after 22 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. After retirement, he was employed by Independent Life Insurance as an agent. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons: Michael J. Crapps (Ann) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and H. Marion Crapps (Ruth) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren: Ashley, Tricia, Wesley, Jonathan, and Katherine; five great-grandchildren: Cole, Anna, Jonathan, Charles, and Silas; two sisters: Gracie Hodges of Springfield, GA and Claudine Zampini of Augusta, GA; and his brother, Sonny Crapps of Springfield, GA. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny G. Crapps.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers, Rebecca Nesbit and Gena Fordham, for their love and support during our time of need.
