Felix Chisolm Pelzer, 73, of Charleston, SC, husband of Carol Cole Pelzer, died Saturday, November 14, 2015. His Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the St. Michael's Church, 71 Broad Street at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Downtown CHAPEL.
Felix was born March 1, 1942 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Francis Joseph Pelzer, Jr. and the late Mary Branch Chisolm Pelzer Henning. He was a graduate of the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, where he received his Bachelor's Degree. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a retired realtor with the Felix C. Pelzer Company. He was a member of the Carolina Yacht Club, Yeamans Hall Club, St. Cecelia Society, Huguenot Society and The Society of the Cincinnati.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Felix C. (Magda) Pelzer, Jr. and Arthur C. (Laura) Pelzer both of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Chisolm Pelzer, Frances Pelzer, and Cole Pelzer; brother, J. Randolph (Elizabeth Bradham) Pelzer of Charleston, and sister, Mary Pelzer (Curtis) Loftin of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Joseph Pelzer, III.
