Faye Wolfe Fruit, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Charles W. Fruit, Jr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 10, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 in John Wesley United Methodist Church, 626 Savannah Highway at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Faye was born July 11, 1922 in Rowesville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Henry B. Wolfe, Sr. and Stella Dukes Wolfe. She graduated from Columbia College and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a beloved school teacher who taught for 35 years in Charleston County Schools. She was active in Charleston County Retired Educators Association. Faye was a devoted member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Wesley-Altman Fellowship Class.
She is survived by her three daughters: Carol F. Boudreaux (John) of Columbia, SC, Stella A. Fruit of Charleston, SC, and Susan F. Hurley of Charleston, SC; one niece, Kate W. Latimer (David) of Charleston, SC; one grandson, Guy C. Boudreaux of Columbia, SC; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Wolfe; and three brothers: Henry B. Wolfe, Jr., John Elbert Wolfe, and Keith Wolfe.
