GSCMC(SW) Everett Edward Scarlett, 71, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Barbara Bethune Scarlett died Tuesday, August 6, 2013. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday August 9, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort SC. Arrangements by J. Mr. Scarlett was born November 1, 1941 in Valley Falls, KS, son of the late Harold E. and Grace Scarlett. His military career spanned 31 years in the US Navy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Carol Scarlett of North Charleston, SC; five daughters, Dawn Scarlett of KS, Stephanie Naulta Simpson of Columbia, SC, Kelly (Charles) Branch of Ladson, SC, Lisa Scarlett of Charleston, SC and Monique Scarlett of North Charleston, SC; two sons, David Scarlett (Pam) of Jacksonville, FL, and Jason Scarlett of Washington; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
