Evelyn Florence Willis

Evelyn Florence Willis, 78, of North Charleston, SC, the widow of CPO Clifford Joseph Willis, USN, Retired, died Friday, April 29, 2011, in a local hospice facility.

Born May 28, 1932 in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the only child of George W. Trumble and Florence Palmer Trumble.

Evelyn enjoyed doing volunteer work in the church office and worked in the daycare at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek.

She is survived by her son, George F. Willis of North Charleston; four daughters: Donna M. Druin of St. Mary's, GA; Janet L. Nehmer of Jacksonville, FL; Karen A. Link of Kingsland, GA and Sharon L. Willis-Horne of North Charleston; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held in Northwood Baptist Church, 2200 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM.  Interment to follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy 17A, Moncks Corner.  The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
