Evelyn Lorraine Rose

Evelyn Lorraine Kern Rose, 77, of Johns Island, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Evelyn was born April 30, 1936 in Dwight, Illinois, daughter of the late Joseph Kern and Mabel Miller Kern. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her three daughters: Vickie Meekins of Greenville, SC, Diana Rivers of Charleston, SC and Kimberly Hayes of Johns Island, SC; a son, James E. Rose, Jr. of Little River, SC; and a brother, Vincent Kern of Mazon, IL. She is also survived by seven granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Timothy E. Rose, eleven brothers and a sister.
