Evelyn B. Pessier, 95, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Marion L. Pessier, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the Faith Lutheran Church, 3374 Maybank Highway, Johns Island, at 2:00 pm. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service in Faith Lutheran Church. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.Evelyn was born January 18, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Walter A. Blois and the late Florence Prine. She was a cigar roller with the American Tobacco Co.She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Snookie" Ham (Wilson ) of Moncks Corner, SC; a sister, Irene B. Suit of North Charleston, SC; a sister-in-law, Bessie Mae M. Blois of Summerville, SC; and four grandchildren, Shawn Riley, Emily Newbold, Sullivan Ham, and Jackson Ham.Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 216, Johns Island, SC 29457 or to the American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403.
