Evelyn Henrietta Myers

August 16, 1935 — May 13, 2014

Evelyn Phillips Myers, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Virgil Myers, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.

Evelyn was born August 16, 1935 in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late John Marcus Phillips and Sarah Phillips Weeks. She was a homemaker and a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil Myers of Charleston, SC; two sons, Marcus Myers of Corpus Christi, TX and Glenn Myers of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Karen Ashworth (Keith) of James Island, SC; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Miller, and her grandson, Ricky Mirabella.

Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, James Island, SC 29412.
