Evelyn Adelene McGowen

Born May 7, 1925 to Charles R. Jones and Marie "Mary" Powell Jones in Charleston, South Carolina. Died June 6, 2012 in Houston, Texas. Proceeded in death by her husband, George McGowen, daughter, Patricia Bovasso, brothers, Walden Jones, Randolph Jones and Charles Jones, Jr. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Evelyn "Evie" Ornelaz and her husband Richard; grandchildren and their spouses, Eric & Tracy Bovasso, Dora & Mark Scott and Richard & Kristan Ornelaz, Jr. Great grandchildren: Brandon Bovasso, Lilliana Scott, Mavrick Scott, Carolyn Ornelaz, Nathan Ornelaz and Aaron Ornelaz. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10th at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 10135 West Road at 5pm with a rosary to follow at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 11th at 10am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. Interment will be Wednesday, June 13th at 2pm at Live Oak Memorial Garden, Charleston, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. (www.lupus.org) or St. Maximilian Kolbe Building Fund.
