Evelyn Poulos Burgess, 79, of Foley, Alabama, formerly of Mount Pleasant, SC, wife of Billy G. Burgess died Sunday, October 25, 2015. Her funeral service will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL AT 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday one hour prior to the service.

Evelyn was born March 26, 1936 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, one of fourteen children of the late Peter Poulos and the late Margaret Spell Poulos. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her husband, Billy G. Burgess of Foley, AL, four sons, Michael Burgess and his wife, Rhonda, of Pendergrass, GA, Rick Burgess and his wife, Wanda, of Hanahan, SC, Ronald Burgess and his wife, Amy, of Moncks Corner, SC, and Bryan Burgess and his wife, Misty, of Hayti, MO; one daughter, Brenda Crane and her husband, Travis, of Mossy Head, FL; two brothers, Pete Poulos of Andrews, SC and Chris Poulos of Westminster, SC; one sister, Marie Poulos Douglas of Homestead, FL; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
