Eva Levy Oxler, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Herbert Oxler entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 17, 2016. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Emanu-El Cemetery , Sycamore Avenue, (Maryville) at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston.
Eva was born November 28, 1924 in Columbia, SC, daughter of the late Zelick Levy and Molly Altman Levy. She was a member of The Charleston Elks DOES and active with the Jewish Community Center.
She is survived by her three children, Dr. Steven J. Oxler (Karen) of Moorestown, NJ, Sherri Dangerfield (Michael) of Charleston, SC, and Jefferey P. Oxler (Janet) of Vancouver, Canada; four grandchildren, Lizzy Oxler, Erin Oxler, Amie Armet, Kari Oxler, and one great-grandson, Coen Langdon.
The family wishes to express their Thanks to Zandra Levy, Dana Butler and special companion Lily.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Oxler Fund C/O Jewish Community Center, 1645 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407.
