Eva-Marie "Marie" McElveen Thibodeaux, 60, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest, peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 23, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr, Mt Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Masks are required. The family also asks that bright colors be worn. A reception for family and friends will follow and location will be announced.

Marie was born March 23, 1961 in Sumter, South Carolina, daughter of Betty White McElveen and the late Charles Letcher McElveen, Jr. Marie was an avid learner with an associates degree in business, acquiring many credentials in her professional pursuits. Throughout her life, she pursued a variety of professions as a certified dental lab technician, registered cosmetologist, real estate agent/broker, and for the last 30 years, she worked in property management, becoming president and owner of Bayside Management Services in Melbourne, FL. Marie served her clients and property developers with her professional credits as Community Association Manager (CAM) and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). She loved spending time with family and friends, was a dedicated shopper, and the beach was her "happy place". Marie loved traveling, adventure and concerts!

She is survived by her mother, Betty White McElveen of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Micky R. Watts (Deanie) of Georgetown, SC; two sisters, Pamela McElveen Sexton (Tom) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Brenda McElveen of Hanahan, SC; nephews, Thomas and Charlie Sexton of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nieces, Ashley Watts Skipper (Davis) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Brittany Watts Ellis (Brandon) of Pawley's Island, SC; two grand-nieces, Olivia and Amelia Ellis; and three cherished loves, Logan, Maggie and Midnight.
