Eusebio Jess Espiritu, 72, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Amorita Palma Espiritu passed away Friday, December 25, 2015. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd. at 11:00 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held in Live Oak Memorial gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Jess was born November 12, 1943 in San Marcelino, Philippines, son of the late Gavino F. Espiritu and Potenciana DeJesus. He served in the US Navy and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Shaw University. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Pinatubo Lodge 52 F and AM, at San Narciso, Zambales. Jess was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Amorita Espiritu; his sons, Micah Espiritu and wife Kathie, Jay Espiritu, and Jayce Espiritu all of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Brendan and Patrick Espiritu of Charleston, SC; sister Josefina Ordillas of Mililani, HI and his brother Francisco Espiritu of San Marcelino Zambales, Philippines and of Charleston, SC.
