Eugenia Mae Royal, 99, of Charleston, formerly of Aiken, South Carolina, widow of Charles C. Royal died Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Her funeral service will be held graveside, Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken SC, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Mae Royal was born November 10, 1913, in Denmark, South Carolina, daughter of Eugene LeNoir and Carrie Mae Meyers. She attended Providence Presbyterian Church, Mount Pleasant, SC. Death had a momentary victory as she passed from this world into the heavenly realms in the presence of the Eternal Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Never again will Mae Royal know discouragement or sorrow or weakness. She is safe. She is home. All her hopes and expectations are present realities beyond all she could dream or imagine. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." For her, life is just beginning.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Royal of Palm Beach, FL, and Michael Royal of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Sandra Royal of Washington, DC, Nancy Royal of Boston MS and Pamela Smith of Scottsdale, AZ; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mae Royal is predeceased by two sons, Dennison Royal and Christopher Royal.Memorials may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church, 2749 Palmetto Hall Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29466.
