Eugenia Bass Rhodes, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ralph E. Rhodes entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 4, 2012. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 in Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC.,DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 4pm until 7pm.

Eugenia was born February 24, 1922 in Elmore County, Alabama, daughter of Samuel Chester Bass and Edna Gantt Bass. She was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church, the Baptist Relief Association and a member of the Senior's Group Choir.

She is survived by her daughter; Patricia Baker Hart (Tim) of Charleston, SC; two sons: Roger Dale Baker (Marie) of Cottageville, SC, Stan Lesley of Montgomery, AL; a sister, Martha Dampier of Wetumpka, AL; brother:Sam (Dot) Bass of Wetumpka, AL, seven grandchildren: Melinda Butler (Michael), Dale Baker, Jennifer Rowe (Stephen), Gary Baker, Gil Grooms (Sara), Kelli Stewart (Mike) and Michelle Ross; Fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Fort Johnson Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1473 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412 and /or Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
