Eugenia Cox Dunn

April 19, 1917 — September 22, 2013

Eugenia Cox Dunn, 96, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Follie J Cox and Frank Dunn, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 22, 2013.

Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013, in Northwood Church, 2600 North Main Street, Summerville, SC at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston.

Eugenia was born April 19, 1917, in Lake City, South Carolina, daughter of Benson B. Cook and Jessie Bethea Cook. She was a retired school teacher from Ben Tillman School with the Charleston County Schools after 42 years of teaching. Eugenia was a member of Northwood Church in Summerville and a former member of North Charleston Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a former member of the Eastern Star. She loved to play the piano at church and to crochet and made gifts for everyone.

She is survived by her son, Harvey J. (Patricia) Cox; daughter, Mary C. Forbes; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret C. Hobbs, Hopewell, VA; a sister-in-law, Rose Marie Cook, Lake City, SC and several nieces and nephews.
