Eugene Henry Womack

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of January 29, 2011, Eugene Henry Womack, 84, husband of Ferris Denny Wyckoff of North Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Eugene Henry Womack are invited to attend his graveside service on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Whispering Pines Cemetery at 12:00 noon.   A gathering of friends will be received at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC, Tuesday evening, February 1, 2011 between four and six O'clock.  Eugene was born August 30, 1926 in Norfield, Mississippi; son of Henry Womack and Laura Stubbs Womack.  He served in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and World War II and was retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of VFW Post 3142, American Legion Post 112, 40/8  Voiture 576, Elks #242, Mason, Scottish Rite, Hillbilly Clan #80 and a Shriner.  Surviving is his wife, children, Deborah Prosser and Wayne P. Womack both of Summerville, SC; step daughter, Diana Wills, of North Charleston, SC; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
