Eugene William Haselden

Eugene William Haselden, 83, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Carolyn Joyce Andrews Haselden entered into eternal rest Monday, December 24, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Worship Center Church of God, 128 Red Bank Road at 10:00 am. Interment, Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Mr. Haselden was born September 10, 1929 in Conway, SC, son of the late Henry Ebeneezer Haselden and Nellie Whittington Haselden. Gene was a carpet installer with Chapin Company in Myrtle Beach, El Rauton in N. Charleston and Flanders Carpet Company in Charleston. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Church of God and the James Island Fire Department. For the past 13 years, Gene was employed by Trident Security and he was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Haselden of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Theresa Eileen Haselden (Charles) Wellert of Ocala, FL; sons, Anthony Eugene (Emma) Haselden of Pendleton, OR and Eugene William (Charissa) Haselden Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Carriebell Graham of Conway, SC; granddaughters, Chelsey Haselden, Amy Haselden, Brandy Haselden Bradley; grandson, Christopher Ryan Haselden, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews..
