Eugene Melvin Graham, 91, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Rhame Ayvonne Hoats Graham entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 12, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to service in the West Ashley Chapel.

Eugene was born June 1, 1924 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late Willie Graham and Lula Belle Cook Graham. He was the retired owner of Lawns Beautiful. He loved taking care of flowers and was an avid outdoorsman. Eugene was a loving and devoted husband and father to his wife of 70 years and his children. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II. Eugene was a former member of the Charleston Elks Lodge # 242, VFW Post # 445 and the Charleston Rifle Club.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Ayvonne of Summerville, SC; two daughters: Cynthia Jones (James) of Summerville, SC and Nancy Stewart (Ronald) of Moncks Corner, SC; sister, Rosa Lee Graham Sporbert; six grandchildren: David, Lisa, Jamie, Amy, Sarah and Michael; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Donald E. Graham.
