Ethel Rhodes Wohlfeil, 96, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Carl Wohlfeil entered into eternal rest Friday, May 20, 2016. The Funeral Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Mount Pleasant CHAPEL.
Ethel was born December 29, 1919 in Florence, South Carolina, the daughter of Dr. Franke Rhodes and Mary Nielsen Rhodes. She was a dedicated Army wife and devoted mother, who loved spending time with her children. She was an avid reader and loved dinner parties. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
She is survived by her two sons, Carl Wohlfeil (Marie) of Charleston and Steven Wohlfeil (Ann) of Savannah, GA; daughter, Barbara Weatherall of Asheville, NC; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Warfuel.
