Ethel Rudell Breaker Jourdain, 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of William Henry Jourdain, died Thursday, December 17, 2015. Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 21, 2015, in New Beginnings Community Church, 849 Fort Johnson Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Ethel was born September 2, 1926 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Thurman Breaker and Bessie Mae Friendly Breaker. She was a former employee of the Medical University of South Carolina where she was an EEG Technician.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana Baker of Charleston, SC; three sons: Kevin Marcel Jourdain (Jackie) of Charleston, SC, William Henry Jourdain, Jr. (Sharon) of Greenwood, SC, and Donald Jourdain of Greenwood, SC; sister, Laura Futch of Yonges Island, SC; ten grandchildren: Keith, Kelly, Judy, David, Jason, Danielle, Joshua, Jacob, Marcie, and Ashley; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judy Jourdain.
